Instructions for Applying to Presidio Cup:

  • Log into Presidio site with your Presidio Log In which will take you to your "My Account" page.
  • Click on the "TEAMS" tab and then click on "Tournament & Schedule Apps".
  • Next click on "Apply to Presidio Tourn", then select "2019 Presidio Cup" from the dropdown.
  • Click on "Register" to apply your team to the tournament.

Update: All teams will start play the first weekend and may play the 2nd weekend based on the number of entries.

FIFA rules as modified by USYSA, Cal South will apply and as modified herein.

PROTESTS: No protests will be allowed. All disputes shall be settled by the Tournament Director.

CREDENTIALS: Laminated USYSA player cards. Current USYSA cards are required.

MEDICAL RELEASE: ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE SIGNED MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS AT CHECK IN. PLAYERS MAY BE CLUB PASSED FROM WITHIN THEIR CLUB. ANY OTHER PLAYER FROM ANOTHER TEAM MUST BE TRANSFERRED

Club Pass: Up to three (3) players may be Club Passed in the same manner used in regular league play.

CHECK IN: Teams shall check-in at the mandatory registration pursuant to application and notifications. Failure to check-in will result in automatic forfeiture of all games. CHECK IN INFORMATION POSTED ON PRESIDIO TOURNAMENT SITE. ALSO ON TIMELINE.

GAMES: All coaches have total responsibility for the conduct of their players, bench, friends and spectators at all times.

PLAYER CHECK-IN: (GAME DAY) Team players and manages must check in with the field marshal before their first game of the tournament. Managers will give their roster/game cards and player cards to the referees before each game. Referees will do a safety check of players before each game. Referee will record scores and any yellow or red cards on each team’s score card/roster.   Manager will pick up their roster/game cards and players cards from the referee immediately after each game. Managers will then take the roster/game cards to the Field Marshall after each game. 

REPORTING SCORES:  Managers must score game using the Digital Player Card application.  Game can be easily scored from your cell phone. Here is the link to Digitial Player Card. Save this page as a shortcut icon on your phone. Login with your USERNAME and PASSWORD, input the game number and click on the search icon. Then to score the game click on the word “Scoring”. Full instructions are listed in the Team Administrator Guide as Digital Player Card Exhibit L.

HOME TEAM: Home team is listed first in the program. The home team is responsible for providing 1 to 3 suitable game balls. The home team has the choice of sideline for the team and spectators. In the event of a uniform color conflict, the home team must change to an alternate jersey.

VISITOR TEAM: Visitor’s team is listed second in the SCHEDULE. The team and spectators must occupy the sideline opposite the home team.

TOURNAMENT POINTS: · 6 points for each win · 3 points for each tie · 0 points for each loss · 1 point for each goal scored (maximum of 3 points) · 1 point for each shutout · Minus – 1 point for each player or coach ejected.

NOTE: A 0-0 tie will be scored as 4 points A Forfeited game will be considered a 1 - 0 loss for the forfeiting team. All games scheduled for that team will be declared a forfeit, whether they have played or not. Each opposing team will be awarded 8 points.

TIE BREAKERS: In the event of a tie in points at the end of circuit or division play, the winner for advancement will be determined as follows:

  1. Head to Head
  2. Fewest goals allowed
  3. Most goals scored
  4. Most total wins
  5. Most shutouts
  6. If still tied, kicks from the penalty mark

To determine a Wild Card in a Circuit where some Brackets play 1 more game the teams playing the lesser amount of games shall have their total points earned divided by the number of games played and that total shall be added to their point totals.

SUBSTITUTIONS: Cal South substitution rules shall apply.

CAUTIONS AND EJECTIONS: Presidio rules shall apply. All ejections shall be reviewed by tournament director.

PLAYING TIMES: Game times are shown below

All 2008 to 2012 bracket games will be 2 x 20 halves (40)
All 2005 to 2007 bracket games will be 2 x 25 halves (50)

All finals shall be regulation times · Penalty kicks per FIFA in Case of tie.

IN CASE OF RAIN: Check the schedule on the Presidio website. Dependent on weather, the start date will be moved to the posted Rain Dates.

Teams not able to play on posted Rain Dates will be refunded 75% of their registration fees.
