Younger’s Premier Qualifying Tournament (PQT) Rules

All games played will be regulation length.

At GU12 level, if the game ends in a tie, then it will proceed to 2 x 10 minute Golden Goal overtime periods. If still tied go to FIFA - Kicks from the Mark.

There will be a 15 minute grace period for teams to show up to the game, at which point a forfeit will be declared.

Scoring for the tournament:

• 3 points for a win
• 1 point for a tie
• 0 points for a loss

Preliminary rounds ending in a tie shall use the following tiebreakers in this order:

1. Winner head to head competition
2. Goal differential (goals for; minus goals against, up to a maximum differential of 4 goals per game).
3. Least goals allowed.
4. Most goals scored.
5. Shut out wins, forfeits not counting.
6. FIFA - Kicks from the Mark.

If more than two teams are tied in points after the preliminary rounds, then the tiebreaker criteria listed above shall be used until one team is eliminated. The remaining teams will go through the tiebreaker criteria again as listed above until one team remains.

There are no added players for this tournament. All players on the roster must be players who were rostered to your team during the Presidio Soccer League regular season. Rosters will be verified by a representative of the Presidio Soccer League. Any team(s) not adhering to this rule will forfeit all games in the PQT.
