Presidio Soccer League recognizes the need for increased awareness around concussions, head injuries and brain trauma. In order for Presidio Soccer League and our Clubs to be compliant with State of California Assembly Bill No. 2007, new procedures have been implemented. All Club Administrators, Coaches, Manager’s, Referees, Parents and Players have a higher degree of responsibility around the reporting of suspected concussion, traumatic head or brain injuries.
ALL SUSPECTED CONCUSSIONS OR TRUAMATIC HEAD OR BRAIN INJURIES MUST BE REPORTED TO PRESIDIO SOCCER LEAGUE AND THE PLAYER MUST BE REMOVED FROM PRACTICE AND PLAY UNTIL AN UNCONDITIONAL MEDICAL RELEASE FROM A LICENSED HEALTH CARE PROVIDER IS DELIVERED TO PRESIDIO SOCCER LEAGUE. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Each athlete and athlete’s parent or guardian was provided a concussion and head injury information sheet when registering to their Club. This information was signed either electronically or physically and was returned before the athlete’s initiating practice or competition.
The links below provide additional information and resources for all of our Presidio Soccer League members, to be in compliance with State of California Assembly Bill No. 2007. Please review the information and documents below to answer any questions around the Law.
